It is hard to believe that Christmas is over for another year. I didn't think it would be as busy a time as it was. On Christmas Eve the family went out for our annual Christmas Eve dinner -- and to celebrate Alyson and Jordan being home for the holidays. I still call them kids but I do that with my own children as well. After dinner we went to Peggy's place for a slice of raspberry cheesecake -- it was delicious.
Christmas morning everyone came to my place for gift opening and breakfast. Other than setting the table, I left the work up to the rest of the family. That seemed to take up the whole morning. Time for a nap and then off to Susan's for dinner.
Family friends (Garth, Avril and Kate) joined us for dinner. Kate and Jordan caught up on their adventures over the past year. The rest of us played silly games and had some laughs. Garth was such a good sport, he was just out of the hospital after having knee replacement surgery. I am sure he was in pain, but he didn't complain (he probably saves his complaining for Avril).
On Boxing Day we had brunch at Peggy's. We were joined by our friends, Al, Dorothy and Madeline. Another delightful meal (Alyson made Eggs Benedict). I think I will have to take up running after this week.
New Year's Eve we met at Dorothy's and brought all our leftover holiday food. The idea was to finish it all before New Year's day -- and then start the diets. However, when we left Dorothy's we were instructed to take home whatever wasn't eaten.
My decorations are down. The outdoor lights and Santa are put away for another year. All together it was a good 2007. Gordie would have enjoyed all the celebrations (though he wouldn't have played games). Click here to see holiday photos -- and click here for more holiday photos.

I love your family Christmases. they are so much fun, relaxing, and not stressful. What a wonderful way to end the new year and start another. I am so blessed to be apart of this family!
