Winter is here at the west coast. Snow in Vancouver is lovely, as long as it comes on Christmas Eve and leaves again on Christmas Day. Saturday night the forecast was for snow by midnight. How can they tell?
Sure enough, when I woke up Sunday morning the ground was covered with the white stuff. It was dry and fluffy. Sue and I took Daisy over to the school grounds so she could run and play. She is, after all, a "William's Lake" dog. What a great time she had.
That was Sunday afternoon, with just the right amount of snow. It was a different story on Monday morning. When I went outside, the snow almost covered my poor little dog. But there was no choice; I couldn't carry her and manage myself. I felt like "King Wenceslas" with my page following in my footsteps. No fooling around this time though, just in and out.
It is now Wednesday evening. The forecast is for rain with snow at the higher elevations. I think it is time for us to get back to normal. Let the rains come.
