April Ends

The days are longer now. It is such an enjoyable walk in the morning. I go down the lane and see the spring flowers out. It is so tempting to steal a few daffodils or tulips. But I resist the impulse and just snag some forget-me-nots from the empty lots.

March has been a busy month. A trip to Calgary to help search for a house for Alyson. I visited with my family -- my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat and I managed a one-on-one visit on the pretense of minding Makenna. The baby went to sleep after supper so Pat and I had time to catch up on family news.

Grant, Brenna and Ethan came from their home in Eckville. Ethan is a going concern, lively and friendly -- a happy little boy.

Peggy and Al have decided it is time to tie the knot. The wedding is August 8 at my place followed by a party at Avril and Garth's the next day.

Another celebration took place in April for Lucas. He received his Doctorate of Ministry from Trinity Western University. Pat and Lucas came along with Erin, Katie and Makenna. A happy few days. (Lucas even took time out to wash and scrub my balcony).
