I have just returned from a trip to Burlington to visit Mamak, Brian and family.I was apprehensive about travelling alone, but discovered everyone was so helpful that I had no trouble at all. My family made sure I asked for wheelchair assistance at Pearson International.
When I arrived at the airport, I was "wheeled" to the luggage carousel, and then on to the area where Brian was waiting. The assistant took us to the elevator to go up to the parkade.
Wouldn't you know it, the elevator was broken! Lucky for me, I had been sitting for five hours so was able to manage the stairs without any problem.
I had a good time in Burlington -- my youngest grandchildren are growing up so fast. They made a fuss over my birthday and treated me to cake and presents.

Grandma! It sounds like you are a lady of leisure -- the royal treatment. I should make sure to ask for that when I travel. Love you :)
