Okanagan Adventures

Time flies these days. Mamak and the children arrived in Vancouver on July 1. Brian arrived three days later on July 4. He picked up a rental van at the airport and drove to my place for breakfast with Susan and me. He pre-ordered Mom's poached eggs and toast. I wonder why my family always wants that for breakfast? After breakfast, Brian picked up his gang and came back for Susan and me. We set off on our journey to Westbank.

We arrived at "The Cove" in time for lunch and a swim in the complex's pools. We all had a dip and a nap before heading out to Lynda and Don's well-groomed house and yard in Peachland for the pre-wedding party. We had been told it was a barbeque, but it was actually a lovely buffet. There were people visiting I hadn't seen for years. It was difficult to remember some of them and of course many I had never met before. Most important, it was nice to see all my children and some of my grandchildren, and of course my great grandson, Ethan.

The following day, Saturday, was of course, "The Wedding." Everything seemed to go off without a hitch (except for Neil and Kirstin who were hitched!). There were lots of pictures taken before and after the ceremony. It is hard to know exactly what is being said when you are hard of hearing; other than that I enjoyed the ceremony.

There is so much to write about this vacation. Look for additional posts in the coming days (or maybe even weeks, depending on my writing energy!) Click here to see Sue's Peachland photos.
