It is two years since my husband died. I never thought I could manage on my own. It is amazing what a person can do if they have to. Having a close knit family also helps. Peggy and I went down to the park and sat on Gordie's bench and watched the juniors practise football. Very fitting for the anniversary.I have seen two great shows over the last couple of weeks. One called "Amazing Grace" and the other "Mrs. Polfrey at the Claremount". Both were filmed in Britain and the scenery was so inspiring. Amazing Grace talks about slavery in England, a place in British history we know little about. The other was about life in a retirement hotel in London. I enjoyed both movies.
Last night we had our monthly Games Night. It was at my place. No dinner this time, just lots of snacks and lots of laughs.

I still can't believe that two whole years have passed. I'm thinking of you, Grandma, and I love you so much.

I miss Grandpa - but I refer to him a lot according to my friends. You don't realize the magnitude of impact some one has on your life. I'm so blessed to have had such an amazing Grandpa to be there when I needed an ear to listen, a drive to school when I missed the bus or some spending money for the ferry. I am so blessed.
